Not So Random Saturday

On the 1st of this month, somewhere between my university’s last deadline and my ongoing work, I randomly decided that the second weekend would be different.

No planning for weeks.
No big reason behind it.

Just a simple thought:

“I’m going to Wales.”

Last night, before sleeping, I packed my bag.

My Kindle.
My MacBook.
My AirPods.
My charger.
And a hoodie for the beach breeze.

That was it.

Honestly, packing felt strangely exciting. Maybe because for once, the bag was not being packed for work or Uni. It was being packed for me.

This morning, my alarm rang at 6 AM.

For a second, I almost went back to sleep. But then I remembered today was the day.

I got ready quietly, picked up my bag, plugged in my AirPods, and stepped outside while the streets were still half asleep.

And somehow, everything felt lighter.

Today, I’m travelling to a beach in Wales for a small 6–7 hour escape. Nothing luxurious. No fancy plans.

Just fresh air, a train ride, good vibes, and some peace.
(and of course, a change in my daily setup 😀)

I think we forget sometimes that not every reward has to be big. Sometimes after working hard, showing up every day, and pushing through long weeks, you owe yourself small moments too.

A quiet solo trip.
A slow morning.
A random Saturday that becomes memorable.

And maybe that’s the reminder I needed:

Celebrate yourself once in a while, even for the small wins.
